Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd was 14 when she began to train in the sports of combat. She trained in boxing kickboxing wrestling and BJJ before making her first amateur appearance at 18, at WCFC against Jaimee Nievera. Ladd gained confidence after the win and fought 3 bouts in Ultimate Reno Combat. Her adversaries were defeated all in the 1st round. Ladd went back to WCFC and defeated Leslie Rodriguez through a unanimous verdict. Aspen was first beaten by Silvia Babyghian prior to going to take on Maddy Simmons at WCFC 9 in which she took on Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia defeated Aspen in a unanimous vote. The loss put a mark on the record of Ladd's amateur. Ladd bounced back from defeat in the final by beating Roma Pawelek in Tuff-N'-Uff, bringing her record up to 8-1. Aspen started her professional career in 2015after signing with Invicta FC for her professional debut. She faced Ana Carolina Vidal at Invicta FC 11 and dominated her, securing a first-round TKO. Invicta 16 saw her rise up to Bantamweight after winning her battle with Amanda Cooper by armbar in the second round. Aspen made use of her wrestling prowess to take down McGill in third round TKO. Aspen continued to face Jessica Hoy for Invicta FC18 with a weight of 138.1lb. Ladd was not capable of achieving the weight however Aspen won and beat Hoy with a TKO. Invicta FC 21, she won her final fight with the promotion via a unanimous vote. Aspen Ladd made her UFC debut in UFC Fight Night 118 against Lina Lansberg. She outclassed Lina by pound-for-pound, and took the TKO round later in the second. Ladd continued to dominate and scored an even stunning victory in her next bout against Tonya Evinger at UFC 229. Ladd stopped Evinger's fight after the first round. The winner also got the reward for her performance on the night. Her first major fight at The UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against. Lee rematch against Sijara Ebanks. Ladd took home the unanimous decision after some great exchanges with the fighters received the Fight of the Night bonuses. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie ended Ladd within 16 seconds, breaking her losing streak. After a break of a few seconds, she returned to finish Yana Kunizkaya during the UFC's ESPN 7 third-round fight. In a last-minute substitute to her UFC fight, she took on Norma Dumont during UFC Fight Night 195. Her defeat was decided by majority decision.
