Jenna Fischer's most famous role was that of Pam Beesly from the popular television show The Office. In recognition of her performance, she won an Emmy award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role and received the award for two SAG Awards.
Jenna was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, but her family was primarily from St. Louis, Missouri. Jenna was awed by her mother, Anne, perform in performances at church while she was a child that instilled a passion for theater and performing.
Fischer is an actor with theater training. The actress starred alongside Josh Hamilton Leslie Bibb Fred Weller in Neil LaBute's Off Broadway production Reasons for Being Happy. The Old Globe Theatre's premiere, she starred alongside Greg Germann and Josh Stamberg in Steve Martin's comical comedy Meteor Shower.
The Office co-star Angela Kinsey and Fischer created Office Ladies, a podcast that airs on Earwolf on October 19, 2019. The podcast has proven to be an enormous success, making in the Top Ten worldwide every week, and receiving more than 200 million downloads during the first two years. Office Ladies took home the iHeart Radio Podcast of the Years award in January of 2021.
She's also the author of The Actor's Life : A Survival Guide (coauthored with Angela Kinsey), in which her story of moving from St. Louis to Hollywood as a professional actress is narrated.
